North goes green

In March, McCluer North and the Florissant community came together to establish a new community garden. The garden is located behind the main building in the old parking lot area. The garden officially opened on Earth Day, April 22.

T-shirts with the slogan “Tree Hugging Dirt Worshipper” were sold to promote the event. Many staff members, students and citizens of the Florissant community came out to make the event happen. District employees, students and community members are free to use the garden as long as they maintain their specific plot.
