–        There has been a high spike in lunch prices and snacks this year. Among them are Rice Krispy Treats being $1.50, a condiment being 20 cents, and a pack of Pop Tarts priced at $2.00. Here’s a few of the essentials:

2nd Breakfast Meal: $1.00

2nd High School Lunch Meal: $1.60

10 oz. Bottled Drink: $1.25

Small Bag of Chips: 75 cents

Cookie: 50 cents

–        Juniors will be given the opportunity to take the ACT for free this year. This will be implemented to make sure everyone gets a chance to take the widely required college entry test. It is a $35 gift from the Ferguson-Florissant School District to you.

–        Connor Clasby placed third out of 90 plus in the Allsup Summer Entrepeneurship Academy at SLU.

–        Erika Edmonds and Aly Jones made first team All-SNC soccer. Mary Kate Raftery and Sami Boschert were of those who made the second team.

–        Kyra Smith Jones was selected for the UDA All American Dance Team for pommies.

–        Student artists Scott Wescott and Merasha Kisart were chosen to exhibit their art in the St. Louis Art Museum’s First Annual Young Artist Exhibition. Their award winning paintings were sold at the opening reception at the Tavern of Fine Arts. Kisart was selected as the recipient of the UMSL College of Fine Arts and Communication Dean’s Award for Creative Achievement in the Arts.

–        Tracy Baker named Outstanding Choral Director in the St. Louis Suburban area.

–        Joshua Bump received his Eagle Scout certification.

–        Ms. Hancock aided North in winning a second Gateway Greening Grant. This will contribute to the garden.

–        Marcus Benson, Alexander Johnson, Meoni Jones, Nicolas Williams and Cameron Williams completed the UMSL Bridge Program.

–        FFSD is Gold Award winner of Missouri’s first school Breakfast Challenge. The district 4,000 dollars.
