The tennis team defeated Pattonville 5-1 on Sept. 18 to  become the undisputed Suburban North Conference champions.

“It feels good to win, it’s where we belong,” said Coach Noel.

This was the team’s first back-to-back conference tournament championship and  conference title since 2006.

Key players in the conference match were: Tyra Searcy, Kelsee Ward and Chelsea Foster who placed first. Also, Corinne Keller, Jackie Schultz and Carrie Moore, who placed second.

“It feels wonderful to win conference,” said Keller. “It’s been a few years since we have beat Pattonville and to just beat them 5-1 is an unexplainable feeling.”

The team’s record overall is 8 wins and 3 losses. The team is ready for the fight to win districts beginning October 1.
